​What is the HP-CVT?
 
HP-CVT stands for High Power Continuously Variable Transmission. High Power is part of the name because the HP-CVT is the first CVT in the world that can transfer real high power. This is because the HP-CVT is a so-called closed system, which means that the power is transferred by gears and not by a friction-based system.
​
The size of HP-CVT can handle the same or even higher powers than a competitive modern 8-gear automatic transmission with approximately the same size.

We already have a proof of concept and a demonstration prototype.

We now need a functional prototype (one that can be used in a vehicle).

What is our solution?
 
The HP-CVT is a patent-pending design that achieves the infinite gear ratio advantages of a CVT without the noise from friction, chains, or pulleys.
It is comprised only of a newly designed planetary gear coupled with interlocking gears.
​The result is a highly efficient transmission for vehicles that reduces oil while preserving driving power and avoiding the downsides of other CVT designs, such as increased noise.
